We recently spent some time with Toni to learn more about her relationship with Arabon and why she ‘chose’ us.

What was it like before you were working with Arabon?

We previously worked with two accountants who both proved their incompetence by failing to lodge our tax returns.

Why were you looking for a new accountant?

After the experiences mentioned, we decided that it was time to move on.

Where did you start your search?

I was booked to speak at a series of CPA Australia conferences and knew I’d be able to find the right person there.

What made Arabon stand out from other options?

I talked to various people at the CPA Australia conferences and had a few options up my sleeve. At the last of the conferences, Michelle (McDowall) came up to chat after my talk and the words “This is your new accountant!” popped into my head.

What convinced you to move your accounting to Arabon?

It was a done deal before she had even opened her mouth, however the fact I liked and trusted her very quickly didn’t go astray either.

What has made you happiest when working with Arabon?

I believe that they care a lot for clients as people and relate as people. It’s a special quality.

What have you been able to achieve since working with Arabon?

I’ve had great advice on improving my business and our tax returns have been considerably more than with previous accountants.

What has exceeded your expectations?

The way that Arabon staff treat their clients as people and care what is happening with them and their business.

What is the main reason you would recommend their services?

I feel I can trust them and relax about my accounting needs – such a change from the previous accountants I’ve had (even the good ones).  I know that our personal needs are also being considered which is rare these days.
